Since my stack of to-be-reviewed DVD's has become nearly overwhelming, I've just decided to take them as I can. As a result, I'll be hitting some discs that aren't exactly hot-off-the-presses releases, but I'll do the best I can to throw in some current stuff.
Kicking things off is a DVD review of a re-release of the 2000 film, American Psycho. This new(er) edition adds tons of extra features. Disney (Touchstone) has also recently reissued several catalog titles as special editions. The first one I took a look at was the 1998 action/thriller Enemy of the State.
In 2002, Fox debuted a great new science fiction show called Firefly. Then in mid-season, they idiotically cancelled it. Read my review of Firefly, the complete series.
Also, for those of you who might be contemplating whether or not to see that new pirate movie, or revisit an old hero, I've posted a rare (for this site) theatrical review of Superman Returns.
I'll have more DVD reviews coming soon, but in the meantime, check out my thoughts on Disney's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. You can also read my views on: Rent, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Saw, Saw II and, in my continuing support of independent film, a short film called Broken.
Be sure to check out other recent DVD reviews of They Shoot Movies, Don't They?, Dreamworks' abysmal The Island (which is featured in the latest Podcast), and Universal's excellent Serenity.
More to come...
::New Contests / Promotions
There are no contests running at this time, but rest assured that I'm always on the lookout for free stuff to give away to my loyal readers. Please keep checking back and hopefully I'll have something for you soon.
::Product Review
For a long time now, I have been meaning to post my thoughts about Movie Collector from Collectorz.com.
I started using the software a few years ago to catalog my ever-expanding DVD collection and I have had nothing but positive experiences with it.
In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this program, but you can also read my in-depth review here.

::Movie Quote
" This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then explode."
-- Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) from Serenity.
::Movie Trivia
In the "thanks for small miracles " category, the original cut of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith ran over 4 hours.
